The Chiefs may have gotten the last laugh over the Bills in their last matchup, but Taylor Swift and the Kelce family were allegedly ‘shocked’ at the negative reception they got at last year’s divisional round clash in Buffalo.
Kansas City eked out a 27-24 win in the playoff matchup, with Jason Kelce seen shirtless and chugging a beer as he celebrated a touchdown from his brother Travis’ squad.
But according to Turner Sports’ Adam Lefkoe, Travis’ friends and family at the game did not enjoy their road trip to Highmark Stadium.
‘I have heard from people very close that it was not a great experience in Buffalo,’ he told Kay Adams on her ‘Up and Adams’ show. ‘It was not. For all parties involved… And I’m talking about the most famous of all the parties,’ he continued, with a not-so-subtle nod to Swift.
‘I think that it kind of shocked the Kelce family and everyone related to the Kelce family the reception they got. I think they were kind of going in being like, ‘This is going to be an amazing game with good energy.’ And they got there and they experienced Bills Mafia in full form, in [its[ complete ruthlessness.’
Adam Lefkoe says the Kelce-Swift family were SHOCKED by the reception they got from #BillsMafia during last season’s Divisional RD game. 😳

‘And I think they left and went, ‘I don’t know if I want to experience that again.’ It was that kind of a level of crazy.’
Lefkoe, who covers the NBA for TNT and is a noted Eagles fan, added, ‘I think there are certain fanbases that do their job, which is that when you are a visitor in their place, it is their job to make you uncomfortable.’
The images of Jason Kelce chugging a beer without his shirt on have perhaps become the enduring images of that game, and Adams suggested that moment was evidence of the Kelce clan having a good time.
Lefkoe saw it a different way.
‘What that is right there is an unbridled man that has been getting cursed at and yelled at for hours, that at the end got to go, ‘How about them apples?,’ he said.
Notably, Jason tailgated with Bills fans ahead of their Monday Night Football matchup with the Jets earlier this season.
According to CBS Sports, ‘the expectation’ is that pop star Swift will be back in Buffalo for a highly-anticipated clash between the 9-0 Chiefs and 8-2 Bills.
The ‘Fortnight’ singer has actually been performing nearby in Toronto this week, though a league source told CBS Sports that the scheduling was ‘completely unintentional.’
Nonetheless, Swift will hope for a better experience this time around if she attends.
