Chiefs – Bills had massive impact in broadcasting and surpassed 30 million viewers

The Kansas City Chiefs vs the Buffalo Bills smashed the television ratings by pulling in an astonishing 31.2 million fans to watch the contest as Josh Allen ended Patrick Mahomes‘ winning streak on November 17.

Running out 30-21 winners at the Highmark Stadium, the New Yorkers pulled in the biggest regular-season game since a 2007’s Indianapolis Colts vs New England Patriots, excluding Thanksgiving and Christmas Day games.

Allen threw for 262 yards for one touchdown from 40 attempts (27 completed) and even managed to stun the audiences with an amazing rushing touchdown to push the game beyond Andy Reid‘s side in the fourth quarter.

Allen has now made 2543 passing yards for 18 touchdowns in 2024/25, as well as adding an extra 316 rushing yards for an additional five touchdowns as he continues to find his name put in the MVP competition.

Whilst Mahomes passed for 196 yards and three touchdowns from 33 attempts (23 completed), allowing two interceptions, but it proved to be insufficient on the night as he nor Travis Kelce could do little to stop their opponents.

Ravens-Steelers smashes record too

CBS Sport’s fine day also pulled in some 19.8 million viewers, in what was a region record that had stood since 1992, to watch the Baltimore Ravens lose 18-16 on the road to the Pittsburgh Steelers as Russell Wilson passed for 205 yards on 36 attempts.

Meanwhile, Lamar Jackson made 207 yards from 33 attempts (16 completed) and for one touchdown, but was sacked twice and threw an interception as the Ravens slipped to a 7-4 record and to second in the AFC North.

With massive permutations in the AFC Conference, it’s no surprise that fans poured in to watch the two football games that saw the Chiefs lose their 9-0 streak as the Bills pulled to be one win behind, whilst the Ravens dropped behind the Steelers and down to sixth.
