In a recent episode of Club Shay Shay, Shannon Sharpe sat down with the 19-year-old, where Speed expressed his desire to face Mayweather.
“I believe, but I’m a Manny Pacquiao fan. I think Manny Pacquiao is the GOAT in boxing, in my opinion… take Manny over Floyd. Floyd, hey Floyd, you don’t want the work either, bro. I promise you, Floyd. 6 months, let’s go,” Speed said.
Is A Fight Between IShowSpeed And Floyd Mayweather Possible?
Fans recently witnessed the Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul boxing match, which featured a significant age gap between the fighters. Tyson, at 58, faced the much younger 27-year-old Paul. Now, IShowSpeed, who is just 19, could potentially face the 47-year-old Floyd Mayweather. However, the chances of this fight happening as an exhibition match are slim.
Mayweather occasionally participates in exhibition boxing matches, which fans enjoy, so if he and his team agree to another one, this fight could come to fruition. That said, the 19-year-old YouTuber lacks experience in boxing and would need to get in better shape and improve his skills before facing Mayweather. While the likelihood of this fight happening is low, if it does, it would be a major exhibition event, given the immense fan following of both stars.
