The biggest and last boxing match of 2025, between Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul, was a thrilling spectacle. At the Kaseya Center in Miami on Friday, Paul suffered his first KO. After the fight, ‘The Problem Child’ claimed he had broken his jaw. During a post-fight ring interview with Ariel Helwani, the 28-year-old confirmed that.
Everyone in the community praised Paul for stepping into the ring and standing against a multiple-time heavyweight champion. However, weeks after the fight, ‘The Problem Child’ revealed his jaw injury and said he couldn’t sleep at night because of the injury. In his recent interview, Paul said:
“I’ve got four plates in my jaw and the healing process has been tough. I’m a little bit tired, it’s hard to sleep. It’s all part of the sport and it was an amazing night. I learned a lot and we’re moving on to more fights this year.”

Before the fight, many had warned Paul not to fight Joshua, as it was a risky fight for him. However, he got praise after the fight. However, even after the fight, UFC commentator Joe Rogan says the 28-year-old should not fight anyone like ‘AJ’ again.

Jake Paul ended 2025 on a rough note after suffering a heavy loss to Anthony Joshua. Following the fight, several fighters warned Paul against taking on elite names like Joshua or Francis Ngannou again, saying the risk is too high. Daniel Cormier also weighed in, urging Paul to think twice.
During a recent video, the UFC veteran said, “Francis doesn’t know, Jake. Francis doesn’t know how to control and make sure the punches don’t put your lights out. I think he needs to reconsider. And this is from a person that, at one point, had an issue with Jake Paul. Today, that’s water under the bridge.”
Cormier and ‘The Problem Child’ once got into heated trash talk, also. Meanwhile, the next fight of the 28-year-old is what fans are speculating now. As he is injured now, fans can expect Paul to return in mid-2026.
