The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Houston Texans 23-14 in the divisional round on Jan. 18. Kansas City now advances to their seventh straight AFC Championship game where they will host the winner of the Baltimore Raven-Buffalo Bills showdown on Sunday night.
Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce played a huge role in Kansas City’s win over Houston, making NFL history with his ninth postseason game with at least 100 yards. The 10-time Pro Bowler caught seven passes for 117 yards, including an 11-yard touchdown from quarterback Patrick Mahomes in the fourth quarter.
“This is what he lives for, is playing in these moments, having the chance to make big-time plays,” Mahomes told reporters. “He goes out there and does that, and it seems like he does it in every single playoff game.”
“He doesn’t let the moment be bigger than what it is,” Mahomes continued. “He just goes out there and executes at a high level just like he does in a regular-season game. He just does that with a little bit higher intensity.”
Cheering the Chiefs on Saturday, Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift, who attended the matchup at Arrowhead Stadium with her parents, Scott and Andrea Swift. However, there was another famous face in Kelce’s VIP suite, Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark.
While videos of Swift and Clark interacting at the game went viral, new photos emerged of Kelce, the pop star, and WNBA phenom on Jan. 19.
In the locker room after the game, a reportersasked the 35-year-old if he was “feeling 25 again” and Kelce gave a sweet nod to Swift in his response. “22, baby. 22,” referencing Swift’s lyrics to “22.”
