VIDEO: Kevin Durant Breaks Down His Plans After Winning A Bet From Devin Booker During The NFC Divisional Round

The Phoenix Suns have faced significant struggles this season despite having two of the NBA’s biggest stars, Kevin Durant and Devin Booker, on their roster. The team’s performance has been disappointing, but Durant recently found some solace in the success of his other favorite team, the Washington Commanders.

For the first time since 1991, the Washington Commanders advanced to the NFC Championship Game after defeating the Detroit Lions in a thrilling Divisional Playoff game. Durant, a lifelong fan of the Commanders, shared his excitement about the victory during an interview with Duane Rankin.

Man, one of the most exciting times of my life, man. I can’t lie. Being a commander, man, has been tough for the last 20 years, you know, 25 years. But, you know, to do something like that for the first time in 30-something, 33 years, we went to the NSC Championship game. It was special, man,” Durant said.

However, the victory didn’t come without some friendly rivalry. Devin Booker is a passionate fan of the Detroit Lions, and the two even made a bet on the game. When asked about the bet, Durant smiled and kept the details under wraps.

We’re going to keep that on the low, man. I’m just going to press him out. Whenever he’s ready, I’ll be ready. I’ll be here all year,” Durant said.

“I wasn’t exposed too much, especially. I let him do it. Since he got the W, I let him tell y’all what to do. You’ll let him get the finer details,” he added.

Kevin Durant Has The Last Laugh Over Detroit Fans

Kevin Durant was in attendance for the Commanders’ playoff game, proudly sporting a Brian Robinson jersey. After their thrilling win over the Detroit Lions, he was spotted celebrating in the locker room. Durant later took to social media to share his excitement, posting, “Have a great night, Detroit.”

The celebration didn’t stop there. Later that evening, Durant and the Suns took on the Detroit Pistons in a close contest, emerging victorious with a 125-121 score. Durant scored 36 points, had seven rebounds, and had five assists to lead his team to victory.

Not only did Durant enjoy watching the Commanders’ success, but he also had the last laugh over Detroit fans. He sealed a double victory, first on the football field and then on the basketball court.
