Saints’ $12,300,000 DT delivers NSFW message to Texans fans alleging refereeing bias for Patrick Mahomes’ Chiefs

The Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs is done and dusted but there are quite a few talking points still unresolved. The major one of those came from the Houston Texans vs Kansas City Chiefs showdown on Saturday.

While the Chiefs ended up on top, the NFL world was divided on opinion regarding whether Patrick Mahomes’ Chiefs were favored by the referees at Arrowhead Stadium. When all was said and done, the Texans were flagged for eight penalties for 82 yards while the Chiefs were hit with four for 29 yards. There was also the small case of Mahomes trying to flop his way into coaxing the refs into another flag against Houston.

After the game, former Chiefs defensive tackle Khalen Saunders, who moved to the Saints and signed a $12.3 million deal last year, made his feelings crystal clear against Texans fans’ complaints of refereeing bias in favor of the Chiefs.

Saunders pointed out how the Chiefs have been at a disadvantage when it comes to officiating ever since Mahomes was named the starter.

Joe Buck and Troy Aikman were in the ESPN broadcast booth for the Texans vs Chiefs matchup at Arrowhead and the latter had a lot to say about Mahomes’ stunt in the fourth quarter.

Late in the game, Mahomes was running out of bounds but stopped short of the white line, relying on a Texans player’s momentum to push him out. Mahomes flailed his hands in a wild gesture to get a flag thrown but things didn’t go his way this time.
