Taylor Swift fell victim to some overzealous celebrations from the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
The Chiefs felled the Buffalo Bills in a narrow 32-29 AFC Championship victory Sunday, sealing their place in yet another Super Bowl keeping their bid for an unprecedented three-peat alive.
And Swift, who made a triumphant return to Arrowhead Stadium, rushed to the field to congratulate her NFL beau Travis Kelce among the families of the jubilant Chiefs stars as they hoisted the Lamar Hunt Trophy for a fifth time in six years.
The pop sensation is no stranger to the celebrations, having joined Kelce’s mom Donna and dad Ed on the field following last year’s win over the Baltimore Ravens, but this year she experienced a slightly violent twist.
In new shocking footage, the tight end and songstress were spotted arm-in-arm when he went in for a hug with someone.
The person, waring a neon yellow beanie hat, swung his arm up to greet the three-time Super Bowl winner and consequently clobbered Swift, who was tucked under Kelce’s shoulder, on the chin.
The incident was, of course, an accident and Swift appeared to be unharmed as Kelce comforted her.
Kelce had helped Kansas City make it to their third straight Super Bowl, sealing a dramatic 32-29 victory against Buffalo.
It proved a tense affair at Arrowhead Stadium, where Swift was watching on with her boyfriend’s mom Donna as the hosts held off a late rally from Josh Allen and Co to advance to next month’s showpiece in New Orleans.
And as they got over the line on Sunday, Kelce’s girlfriend was left in disbelief.
The sister of Chiefs guard Trey Smith captured the moment Taylor, Donna and other members of their private suite at Arrowhead gathered in front of a big screen to watch the team clinch a place in Super Bowl LIX.
When the victory was sealed, Swift could be heard saying to Kelce’s mom in the video on Ashley Smith’s Instagram story: ‘Are you serious?! Are you serious?!’
The pop megastar then hugged Donna in jubilation as the pair celebrated Travis reaching a third consecutive Super Bowl.
Both of them eventually made their way down to the field to congratulate him and his Chiefs teammates on the win, which sets up a showdown with the Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans on February 9.
Swift and Donna joined Brittany Mahomes – the wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick – on the field as Kansas City celebrated making it to the NFL showpiece once again.
The ‘Anti-Hero’ hitmaker, who donned a designer monogrammed Louis Vuitton outfit at the game, was one of the first to congratulate Kelce after rushing onto the field with his mom to give him a hug.
The songstress was smiling and nodding in approval as her man shouted: ‘Never satisfied, baby!’ and then sang a line from ‘Get Down Tonight’ by KC and The Sunshine Band.
Once he stood down off the podium, Kelce told his girlfriend: ‘I love you so much’. Swift was then heard responding : ‘I love you. I’m so proud of you.’
The couple shared a passionate kiss in front of hundreds of cameras before linking arms and walking back to the locker room together. On their way, Swift gave Chiefs coach Andy Reid a big hug.
After leaving Arrowhead, Swift and Kelce celebrated the Chiefs’ win with the rest of the team after booking out a luxury rooftop bar in the city, DailyMail.com revealed early Monday morning.
Exclusive DailyMail.com pictures showed the moment dozens of close friends and family pulled up to popular Kansas City spot Prime Social in a red party bus, which Kelce has used before when celebrating victories.
