Taylor Swift warned Travis Kelce to be responsible when his Kansas City Chiefs travel to New Orleans for Super Bowl 59.
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have been in a highly-publicized relationship for close to 18 months now, with the world’s biggest music star frequently attending Chiefs games. She was at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday to watch Kansas City defeat the Buffalo Bills 32-29 to punch a third straight ticket to the big dance.
Swift came onto the field to join the Chiefs and their families for the AFC Championship victory celebration. There, The Kansas City Star caught an interesting interaction Kelce had with Swift and his mother, Donna.
In the video below, Travis Kelce can be heard stating, “I owe New Orleans a little something,” to which his mother concurs. But as Kelce talks about the trip to The Big Easy, Swift tells her man, that he’s “Not going to Bourbon Street.”
@thekansascitystar After the Chiefs’ latest classic against the Buffalo Bills, it was a familiar scene as Travis Kelce took the mic and spoke directly to the fans. “When you play in front of Arrowhead Stadium like this, every single AFC Championship, you kidding me?” Travis Kelce shouted into the mic. “Kansas Cityyyyyyyy!” Shortly after that scene, Kelce found superstar singer Taylor Swift and the happy couple headed back toward the Chiefs locker room. Located in New Orleans’ historic French Quarter, Bourbon Street is renowned for its nightlife, music, partying venues and bars. So it’s understandable if Travis wants to go there, but Taylor Swift’s warning is justifiable with the Super Bowl at stake.
The Chiefs are looking to complete the first ever Super Bowl three-peat, having defeated the Eagles and San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowls 57 and 58, respectively.
Taylor Swift Will Presumably Be At Super Bowl 59
Swift’s status for Super Bowl 59 at New Orleans’ Caesars Superdome hasn’t been announced, but it’s widely assumed that she’ll be there to watch her boyfriend’s quest to complete the three-peat.
The Grammy Award-winning singer wrapped up her Eras Tour in Vancouver nearly two months ago, so she likely kept her schedule open for Chiefs’ playoff games.
