Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker is getting high praise from Gracie Hunt.
Hunt, the daughter of Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt, has made her feelings on Harison Butker clear this week.
Harrison Butker may have garnered criticism last year off the field due to words at a college, but Graci believes his presence in the locker room is certainly felt.
Butker became a rather polarizing figure over his faith-based commencement speech at Benedictine College and urged women to embrace the title of “homemaker.”
He also slammed President Joe Biden for his stance on abortion and his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.
While Butker’s faith has sparked mixed reactions from the public, Chiefs heiress Gracie Hunt sees his influence as overwhelmingly positive, especially regarding Patrick Mahomes.
In an appearance on Riley Gaines’ “Gaines for Girls” podcast, Hunt praised Butker for his “boldness in his faith.”
Mahomes spoke openly and honestly about his faith this week.
“He’s my Lord and Savior,” Mahomes said.
Gracie Hunt Also Spoke On Harrison Butker’s Commencement Speech
Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker faced rife backlash for comments made in front of graduating students during a commencement ceremony where he encouraged women to lean into their vocations as wives, mothers, and homemakers.
Not many people liked what he said, but Gracie Hunt was not one of those people.
Asked whether she understood where his message was coming from, Gracie said, “For sure, and I really respect Harrison and his Christian faith and what he’s accomplished on and off the field.”
Days before the Super Bowl, Butker doubled down on his remarks from last year, saying, ‘God has given me this platform, and I’m going to say what I believe to be true and what I hold close to my heart.’
He made it clear that he had nothing to apologize for.
