Los Angeles Rams Send Shockwaves Throughout The NFL Draft With Blockbuster Trade To Get Their New Franchise QB In Latest Proposal

The 2025 NFL quarterback draft class is headlined by Miami’s Cam Ward, Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders and Ole Miss’ Jaxson Dart, with the next tier including Alabama’s Jalen Milroe, Oregon’s Dillon Gabriel and Ohio State’s Will Howard.

The Tennessee Titans (No. 1 pick), Cleveland Browns (No. 2) and New York Giants (No. 3) hold the first three selections. Tennessee and Cleveland both need a quarterback, so at least one of Ward and Sanders will likely be off the board by the time the Giants pick.

Jaxson Dart has widely been linked to the Los Angeles Rams, who could seek Matthew Stafford’s successor after nearly breaking up this offseason. In his latest mock draft, ESPN’s Matt Miller had Dart going to the Rams at No. 26 overall.

The Rams spoke to other teams about a potential Stafford trade, and the 37-year-old needed time to commit to playing another season anyway. With Stafford seemingly on a year-to-year basis, this is a golden opportunity for the Rams

But Dart may have increased his draft stock after an excellent showing at his pro day. So if head coach Sean McVay and the Rams are eyeing Dart (and they should be), GM Les Snead may have to pay a pretty penny to trade up for him.

The New Orleans Saints (No. 9) need a Derek Carr succession plan and could have interest in Jaxson Dart. So if the Rams want the Rebels star, they should try and make a deal with the Carolina Panthers (owners of the No. 8 pick).
