Jason Kelce weighed in (again) on the great tush push debate — while giving subtle kudos to his wife Kylie Kelce.
After Green Bay Packers president Mark Murphy claimed Kelce, 37, called the tush push move — which Kelce’s former team the Philadelphia Eagles regularly use to get across the goal line or gain first downs — “dangerous,” the dad of four clarified his comments in a post on X on Friday, April 4. Kelce explained that he previously called the play “grueling,” and not “dangerous” for players — and said his comments were “misunderstood” by reporters.
“If the NFL wishes to summon me for legitimate thoughts on the tush push under oath, I’d be glad to give my testimony,” Kelce wrote in his X post.
Former NFL quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick then posed a question that caught Kelce’s eye. “Enjoyed your analogy of the tush push strain @JasonKelce and also congrats on the new baby,” Fitzpatrick, 42, wrote. “That led me to thinking what would YOU say is easier… a) a woman having a baby
b) you blocking a season’s worth of tush pushes,” he added.
Kelce answered, “Oh man, hate to say, but it isn’t even close. I’ll take an entire career of tush pushes over giving birth. F— that.”

Former NFL star JJ Watt also jumped into Kelce’s comments, writing, “Man, if we take everything that ‘sucks’ and is ‘grueling’ out of sports, there ain’t gonna be much left,” to which Kelce replied, “This is so f—— spot on haha. Gotta embrace the grind!”

And when one user suggested that the NFL “make it fair” by letting “the defense push too,” the former Philadelphia Eagle replied, “I can show you tons of clips where the defense in fact is pushing too. The officials have allowed it from both sides on that play.”
Kelce’s disinterest in giving birth is likely colored by recent events. On Sunday, March 30, Kylie delivered their fourth daughter, Finnley. They also share Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 4, and Bennett, 2.

On the latest episode of her podcast Not Gonna Lie, Kylie, 32, praised her husband for his support in the delivery room. “He’s a very well-versed support person. He does a great job getting water and ice. He checks in with me on a regular basis,” she said.
“He’s a great support person and was very, very helpful. But he also nailed the cutting the cord,” Kylie added.
