WATCH: Fan Causes Chaos At Dodgers Stadium During Mets’ Blowout Win

A bizarre scene unfolded at Dodger Stadium on Wednesday night when a fan sprinted onto the field during the eighth inning of the New York Mets’ 6-1 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers. The unexpected intrusion halted the game as the fan darted across the outfield with impressive speed.

Security officials scrambled to contain the situation, with several personnel chasing the intruder before eventually tackling him near center field. The man was quickly removed from the field as players looked on, some shaking their heads in disbelief.

Notably, this is not the first pitch invasion this season. Just a week earlier, a Yankees fan in an Aaron Judge jersey interrupted the Yankees-Angels clash in Anaheim. That fan managed to leap back into the stands before being dragged down and handcuffed by security.

Alonso’s Homer Double Powers Mets to Convincing Win

Despite the brief disruption, the Mets maintained focus and secured a convincing win. Pete Alonso was the star of the night, launching two home runs—one in the first inning and another in the eighth—and finishing with four RBIs.

Juan Soto also contributed with a run-scoring groundout to help the Mets jump to a 3-0 lead early.

Griffin Canning was sharp on the mound, delivering six scoreless innings before handing things over to the bullpen, which preserved the advantage. Andy Pages gave Dodgers fans something to cheer for late with a solo homer, but it wasn’t enough to mark a comeback.
