VIDEO: Newly Uncovered Video Shows Simone Biles Doing Gymnastics As A Child, And Everyone Noticed The Same Thing

When Michael Phelps permanently retired from competing in the Olympics, America was founded without a dominant superstar athlete. That was until Simone Biles won her first gold medal at the 2016 Olympics in Brazil.

Since then, Biles has become the pride of American athletics in the Olympics and only solidifies that title every four years. In her years of competing, she has accumulated 10 Olympic medals: seven gold, one silver, and two bronze.

Of course, this kind of success and talent isn’t formed overnight. That becomes evident in the video below, which shows a young Biles competing in a vault event.

Despite an impressive routine at such a young age, Biles was visibly upset at the end of the video because she did not stick to the landing. Even at such a young age, she had a competitive spirit, which undoubtedly motivated her to this point in her life.

What makes the video even more special is she won the gold medal in the vault at this year’s Paris Olympics.

Many online have gone on to highlight her dedication to perfection.

“I love how she is pouting after she fell. But she quickly learned that practice makes perfect and not to let mistakes define her performances,” one X user said.

“Even as a little girl in Ohio, her talent was clear as day. No wonder she’s the most decorated American gymnast with 25 World Championship medals,” said another.

Simone Biles Solidifies Title as Most Decorated Gymnast in the World

Biles already went into the 2024 Olympics as the most decorated gymnast alive.

Her reign first started in 2016 when she won four individual gold medals and one team gold medal. If not for her struggles with mental health in 2020, her achievements would be even greater, but she still achieved a gold and silver medal that year.

Now, in 2024, at 27 years old and the oldest American women’s gymnast, she has secured three more gold medals for her collection.
