As protests around immigration enforcement continue across the country, the event in Los Angeles highlights how free speech can turn protesters into criminals.
The incident occurred as hundreds gathered downtown to protest U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement policies. While most of the demonstration remained peaceful, a few confrontations between protesters and law enforcement escalated matters to dangerous levels.
According to a video shared online, the protester, whose identity has not been released, hurled a bottle directly toward an LAPD officer stationed at the perimeter of the protest area.
Before the police could respond, a civilian standing nearby decided he was going to help out the police.
The bystander, who appeared to act independently and without coordination with law enforcement, delivered the most perfect NFL-style tackle to the assailant. He restrained the individual until officers arrived to take the suspect into custody.

“Great form tackle. Get this man an NFL contract 👏🏻,” a fourth fan commented.
“American citizens have had enough! That hit and tackle was NFL quality,” one final fan added.
