Sweeney’s new American Eagle ad campaign has been widely criticized for allegedly promoting “Nazi propaganda” by being a “racialized dog whistle” praising blond hair and blue eyes.
Amid the backlash, Sweeney is once again trending online, this time for her impressive skills at the shooting range.
A short video of the 27-year-old actress showing her handgun skills has gone viral, with social media users impressed by her sharp aim and quick shooting.
In the clip, Sydney can be seen dressed casually with earmuffs on. She is seen confidently loading and firing a Glock while hitting several targets as others look on.
This is normal activity for her. In July 2019, Sweeney posted two clips of her training at the practice range at Taran Tactical Innovations.

President Trump weighed in on Sweeney and her recent controversial ad campaign with American Eagle.
“You’d be surprised at how many people are Republicans,” the president said in response to a reporter saying Sydney is a registered Republican.
“That’s what I wouldn’t have known, but I’m glad you told me that. If Sydney Sweeney is a registered Republican, I think her ad is fantastic,” the president said.
