Five months later, on July 30th, 2025, the community was struck again by the tragic news of Guy’s death. He passed away peacefully in hospital, surrounded by his children and family, after a brief illness. Guy, a respected Royal Army Medical Service warrant officer and a long-time volunteer youth football coach, was a pillar of his community, known for his kindness and unwavering support. His dedication extended beyond his family to the many lives he touched through his volunteer work.

A Legacy of Service and Community

Guy’s contributions to the Portrush community were far-reaching. For nearly a decade, he served as a coach for Portrush FC Youths, earning the respect and admiration of players and colleagues alike. The club’s heartfelt tribute described him as a “well-respected and dedicated coach,” always ready to lend a hand. He volunteered alongside his children, Fionn and Teagan, who played for the team, further demonstrating his commitment to both his family and the community.
