Speculation Swirls: Is There a Hidden Motive Behind Donald Trump’s Zig-Zag Walk Before Meeting Putin? | NFL Sports

Donald Trump is really good at making the news over his actions, but there was one thing he did before meeting Vladimir Putin that has social media going crazy.

The meeting was the two leaders’ first face-to-face encounter since 2019 and their first standalone summit since a 2018 meeting in Helsinki.

Before Trump showed the power behind the United States by flying B-2 Stealth Bombers and F-22 Raptor jets overhead at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, he had a notable moment while walking on a red carpet.

In videos from several media outlets, the President of the United States can be seen walking along a red carpet and seemingly zig-zagging instead of simply walking in a straight line.

Many people thought he might be losing his mind.

There might be another reason for Donald Trump’s behavior.

Someone suggested on Twitter: “SURVIVAL: Just last year, Trump was shot by an assassin and narrowly escaped a second attempt on his life two months later. The zig-zag pattern is the very best way to frustrate an assassin’s bullet.”

Trump was shot and wounded in his upper right ear by 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, who fired eight rounds from an AR-15–style rifle from the roof of a nearby building in 2024.

Ryan Routh, the suspect in the second alleged assassination attempt against President Trump, had a high-powered rifle who was a few hundred yards away from Mr. Trump at his Florida golf course.

President Donald Trump and Russian leader Vladimir Putin met, but an agreement could not be found.

Trump has repeatedly implored Putin to end the invasion of Ukraine. He has made clear in recent weeks that he is unhappy with Russia, and he had threatened “severe consequences” and additional sanctions if progress were not made.

The tensions between the two leaders were not apparent during the meeting, but things can change if a deal has not come through in the next few weeks.
