President Donald Trump had a surprising reaction to Taylor Swift’s viral engagement announcement.
On a day when NFL fans were waiting around to learn who was getting cut from their favorite teams, they were also hit with news regarding the pop sensation and her beau, Travis Kelce.
The power couple took to Instagram to let their fans know they’re set to tie the knot.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married🧨,” they captioned the post, which had attracted over 16 million likes in just three hours at the time of this writing.
There’s no love lost between Trump and Swift, with the POTUS going on record to say he hates her. However, he was singing a different song after their announcement on Tuesday.
According to TMZ Sports, the Pres wished the couple “a lot of love” after a reporter asked him about the engagement during a cabinet meeting. Trump also referred to the singer as “a terrific person.”

Trump was not all that happy with Taylor Swift’s endorsement of Kamala Harris ahead of the 2024 presidential elections and went after her on social media, claiming to hate her. He later suggested that she was no longer hot since he let the world know how much he disliked her.
Trump also said he “can’t stand” Swift earlier in August.
Fans felt they had every reason to be upset after seeing her at a sporting event with one of his allies.
Who knows? Maybe Donald Trump is a big fan of marriage. He also seems to be a Travis Kelce fan, having referred to the Kansas City Chiefs tight end as a “great player” and a “great guy.”
Kelce also said it would be an honor to play in front of the President after the latter confirmed plans to attend the Super Bowl.
It appears the feud is over.
