Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift announced the happy news that they were set to be married on Tuesday afternoon.
The “Love Story” singer and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post alongside several photos from their floral-filled garden proposal.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨,” Swift wrote in the caption of her post, which was set to her song “So High School.”
Kelce proposed with a ring by Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry. Vintage jewelry expert and gemologist Benjamin Khordipour estimated the ring’s value at $550,000.

Blog site Nicki Swift reached out to body language expert and behavior analyst Traci Brown to get her unique perspective on the “power dynamics” of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship.
Traci Brown states that Travis occupies a supportive role both on and off the field while allowing Taylor Swift to take the lead. She believes that helps the relationship reach its current level.
The body language expert looked at the placement of Swift’s hands in the pictures, stating, “Her hand is always on his cheek, gently guiding him her way,” Brown pointed out.
“This mirrors the way Swift put her hands on Kelce’s face during their big, post-game smooch, suggesting Swift wants to be “what he’s focusing on.” This led Brown to surmise that it’s Swift who is “in control of the relationship.” However, it appears to really be working for the couple.
“What’s noticeable is that they’re so happy,” Brown said of the engagement photos.
“Those are real smiles,” the expert added, providing the “wrinkles on the corners of their eyes” as evidence.
“How Swift has her hands rubbing the back of Kelce’s head, pulling him into her, stands out as evidence that even though he was the one who popped the question, she’s the decider guiding him along. This dynamic is interwoven with just how close they get when looking into each other’s eyes, which was something else Brown noted.
According to Traci Brown, this physical closeness in the second picture of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce suggests a growing intimacy between them.
“They are looking in each other’s eyes at such close range,” Brown said. “You can’t do that if you’re not really tight and [on] good terms.”

Swift’s attendance at the game sparked significant media attention and rumors of her relationship with Travis Kelce. On that day, she could be seen in a private suite with Kelce’s mother, Donna.
Swift later revealed in an interview with People.com that she was initially “really unique” and “a little overwhelming” to be at the game with the team.
Almost two years later, the two are now set to be married. No one saw this union coming, and now they are set to make the huge next step of getting married and possibly having children in the future.
