Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are engaged to be married, the couple announced on social media on Tuesday.
In a joint Instagram post, the pair wrote, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married. ” They also included photos showing the Kansas City Chiefs player proposing to Swift while down on one knee.
Photos showed the couple in a garden of pink and white flowers. One image showed Kelce on one knee looking up at Swift, and another featured a large ring on Swift’s left hand.
The two started dating in 2023 after the singer performed at Arrowhead Stadium. Kelce revealed he tried and failed to slip her his number on his podcast show. Word eventually got back to Swift, and soon, they would meet, go out, and she would show up to her first game in 2023.
Now, fans are wondering when the wedding will take place, how it will look, and who the pop superstar and tight end will have performing for them.
If it is up to Travis Kelce, it seems he might already have a band in place.
According to some old Kelce tweets, the psychedelic indie band MGMT could be a contender.
In 2009 and 2010, Kelce tweeted a lot about the group and how much he liked the song ‘Electric Feel.’
MGMT consists of Andrew VanWyngarden and Ben Goldwasser, who formed the band in 2002 in Middletown, Connecticut.
They seemingly shaped the early years of Travis Kelce.
As of 2024, the band has released a new album, Loss of Life, and has been actively releasing music ever since.
Is This Travis Kelce’s Last Dance?

Enjoy the last Kelce in the NFL while you can, because this might be it for him.
Travis Kelce proposed to Taylor Swift, and Kelce is entering the final year of his contract.
Back in February, at Super Bowl LIX, the back-to-back champions came up short in their quest for a historic three-peat. In fact, they were blown out.
But despite losing to the Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans, there’s little doubt that the Chiefs have established themselves as the NFL’s newest dynasty.
Mahomes is 29, but Kelce is in his mid-30s. Nobody can outrun Father Time, as displayed last year when he had his lowest numbers since his rookie campaign.
The 2025 just might be the final hoorah for Kelce.
