President Donald Trump recently hit the greens with a controversial and former Super Bowl-winning NFL head coach.
Amid questions and concerns about Donald Trump’s health, the 79-year-old took to his Truth Social account to brag about a round of golf with former Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Oakland/Las Vegas Raiders head coach Jon Gruden.
Trump has been out of the spotlight over the past week, and visible bruises on his hands have fueled speculation that he’s in poor health.
On his Truth Social account, Donald Trump posted a photo of the two shaking hands during a round of golf. Trump wrote, “Great playing Golf with Jon Gruden — A really nice guy, and true character!”
Gruden coached the Raiders from 1998 to 2001 before getting traded to the Buccaneers in 2002. That year, the 62-year-old Barstool Sports personality led the Bucs to a Super Bowl 37 championship against the Raiders.
After he was fired in 2009, Gruden took over as an NFL analyst on ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” program. In 2018, Raiders owner Mark Davis handed Gruden a 10-year contract worth $100 million to return to coaching.
Gruden resigned in the middle of the 2021 season after old emails he wrote containing racist, sexist, homophobic and misogynistic language were leaked.
