Police in Georgia have captured an armed and dangerous suspect who allegedly shot a cop in the throat — leaving him in critical condition, according to reports.
Timothy Craig Ramsey, 26, is accused of shooting McCaysville Police Captain Brantley Worley in the throat in the small town Friday, as the officer responded to a 911, WTOC reported.
Details about their interaction have not been released by officials.

Worley suffered a broken neck, has brain bleeding and fluid in his lungs, according to WTOC. He was airlifted to a hospital in nearby Chattanooga, Tenn., where he remains in the intensive care unit, the report stated.
Ramsey was captured by police on Saturday afternoon, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation announced on X.
The suspect was discovered in a wooded area near a church in McCaysville, WTOC reported.
He faces charges of aggravated assault with intent to murder a police officer, according to that report.
Ramsey is no stranger to police and has a bad reputation amongst those familiar with him in the Peach State, reports said.

The armed and dangerous suspect was known to be “aggressive and violent,” one neighbor told Atlanta First News.
