The Kansas City Chiefs have responded to the viral and heartbreaking incident of “Giants Karen” stealing a souvenir that Patrick Mahomes had tried to hand to a young fan after the Week 3 game at MetLife Stadium.
In a video that went viral on social media, Patrick Mahomes attempted to hand his game-worn sleeve to a young boy in the front row. Unfortunately, a selfish and full-grown adult decided to steal it for herself, leaving the boy stunned and devastated:
The woman, since identified as Nina Miller, attempted to do damage control by claiming she had no idea Mahomes was trying to hand the sleeve to the boy, who was reportedly celebrating his 10th birthday.
Tavia Hunt, the wife of Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt, replied to the viral video on X/Twitter and vowed to make up for the incident:
In an update, Tavia Hunt revealed on her Instagram story that they were able to identify the boy and have “Surprises ensuing.”
Thankfully, this instance with Patrick Mahomes, the young boy and Giants Karen has a similar happy ending as the “Phillies Karen” incident that happened last month. In both cases, a grown adult ruined a special moment for a young fan. The teams involved noticed and addressed it accordingly.
Patrick Mahomes & Chiefs Visit The Jaguars On Sunday

The Chiefs dropped their first two games and started 0-2 for the first time since 2014, Andy Reid’s second year as their head coach. But the offense is back in a rhythm, having dropped 37 points against the Baltimore Ravens in Sunday’s Week 4 win over Lamar Jackson and company.
Kansas City also got some help from the Giants, who defeated the Los Angeles Chargers 21-18 in Jaxson Dart’s NFL debut. The defending AFC champions are now just one game out of first in the AFC West, a division they’ve won each year since 2016.
Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs will aim to get above .500 when they visit the 3-1 Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday afternoon, a team that No. 15 has never lost to.
