Social media had plenty of reactions to a viral video of Travis Kelce’s interesting antics during the national anthem on Monday night.
Travis Kelce and the red-hot Kansas City Chiefs played host to the Jayden Daniels-less Washington Commanders on ‘Monday Night Football’, cruising to a 28-7 blowout win and extending their win streak to three.
Kansas City has now won four of its last five since a dreadful 0-2 start. Now at 5-3, they’re just a game behind the Denver Broncos for tops in the AFC West, with Josh Allen and the archrival Buffalo Bills next on the schedule (4:25 p.m. EST on Sunday).
After Kansas City’s blowout win over Washington, a video of Travis Kelce “dancing” during the performance of the national anthem on Monday went viral. While teammate Patrick Mahomes was hardly looking, Kelce looked like he was auditioning for a spot on So You Think You Can Dance:
And let’s just say that social media had mixed reactions to the video of Kelce’s antics:
“He got the zoomies,” a fan wrote.
“Explains why he got kicked out of pre-school. I’m 100000% confident he was quite the handful. Never change Travis, never change!” said another.
“Me me me! Look at me. I’m going out with a pop star. See how I dress outside of here? Me me me!“ said another.
“During the national anthem, the U.S. Flag Code suggests individuals stand “at attention,” face the flag, and place their right hand over their heart. Stand “at attention” is defined as standing upright with your feet together. Dont want to get into the disrespect thing,” wrote a user.
“Makes sense QB needs to be focused and calm. TE needs to be hyped like a raging bull,” a fan added.
“AKA “Human Exclamation Point” 😂,” said another.
Kelce finished the contest with a game-high 99 receiving yards. He’s up to 37 receptions for 474 yards and three touchdowns on the year.
Travis Kelce & Chiefs Look Like Super Bowl Contenders After 0-2 Start

Many fans and pundits were quick to write off the Chiefs after losing their first two games, but they have again cemented themselves as legitimate Super Bowl contenders during a 5-1 stretch.
The offense has regained its elite form with the return of top receiver Rashee Rice, who was suspended for the first six games for his involvement in a 2024 hit-and-run. When Mahomes, Rice, Kelce, Marquise Brown, Xavier Worthy, Kareem Hunt and Isiah Pacheco are all at full strength, the Kansas City offense is loaded and practically unstoppable.
The Chiefs have work to do in catching the surging 6-2 Broncos and top-seeded Indianapolis Colts (7-1), but this is the last team any AFC club would want to face in January.
