Ja Rule has addressed claims of him getting beaten on Thursday night, following video footage of a backstage altercation surfacing on social media.
The rapper, known for his high-profile beef with fellow artist 50 Cent, was the subject of a rumor from popular gossip monger Tasha K, who noted he was jumped and assaulted outside of the Sei Less restaurant in New York, which is the same area where Jets cornerback Kris Boyd was shot on Sunday.
“I’m being told it was pretty ph**king bad!” she wrote.
Ja responded to the claim, calling Tasha out for lying and making it clear that there was no altercation at or near Sei Less.
“Tasha why you lying to these good ppl,” he tweeted in reply. “Yes some bitch ass n***as tried to jump me, not it wasn’t at Sei less and I’m chilling smoking a joint watching SVP wit not a scratch on me.”
The rapper, whose real name is Jeffrey Atkins, didn’t go into details, but a video posted to X shows a backstage altercation said to have taken place between him and other individuals from Max B’s crew at a Monica and Brandi concert. The clip, shown below, doesn’t suggest that things got overly violent, however.
Max B recently went viral for attending the Browns-Jets game and linking up with Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders earlier this month, the same day he was released from prison.
Also a rapper, he had been incarcerated for 16 years following a reduced sentence of 75 years for a New Jersey robbery in which someone was killed.
Ja Rule And Tasha K Spark New Beef After Reports Of Fight At Concert

Meanwhile, Tasha K has since fired back at Ja Rule.
“As I said [Ja Rule] story developing,” she wrote, adding a screenshot of a message from a source telling her about the fight. “Bottom line, I heard you got your a$$ beat… ain’t nobody lie on you… this is why I thought it was Sei Less… they ran down on you tho… Glad you ok!! #Receipts.”
She later claimed to “have the deets,” promising to discuss everything on her show. “You like getting sued I see,” Ja responded.
As far as credibility goes, Tasha K has found herself in legal hot water with multiple artists over the years.
Cardi B received a $4 million defamation judgment against her in 2022, while Soulja Boy threatened to sue her after she hosted William the Baddest on her podcast, and he alleged that they had an intimate relationship.
