KJ Johnson is preparing to embark on a new career.
The LSU gymnast has reportedly been formally invited to a WWE tryout in Orlando. Like a ton of gymnasts, there really isn’t life after competing in college if they are not elite enough to take it further. That is what caused Olivia Dunne to retire from the sport following her last college year.
Johnson is currently a senior and vital leader on the team. The 2024 Southeastern Conference co-floor champion was unable to perform last year when the team took on No. 1 Oklahoma. It was an SEC showdown at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center. She was down to an ankle injury.
Before that, she had only performed three times. She received 9.825s in the season opener against Iowa State and a 9.90 against Missouri. It took KJ Johnson three weeks to heal from her ankle injury. Now that her college career is ending soon, it’s time to move to the next phase of her life.

Social Media Is Loving KJ Johnson’s Move To The WWE

Last year, the world found out that Nebraska Huskers track and field freshman Meghan Walker signed a deal with the WWE. The 21-year-old track and field athlete has signed an NXT deal with WWE. Now, she might be getting some company.
It has been revealed that LSU gymnast KJ Johnson is heading to a tryout that could potentially lead to a contract. Once wrestling fans found out this information, they loved it.
“Hbk trying to collect baddies like Pokémon,” one fan said.
“Shawn’s a man of the people,” a second person said of the signing.
“Somebody’s got to do a deep search on HBK’s hard drive. He and his team are grabbing all the fine women,” a third person said of KJ Johnson.
“The more gymnastic wrestlers, the better,” a fourth person added.
So far in KJ Johnson’s senior season, she has competed on vault in 10 meets for the Tigers. She recorded a season best of 9.900 on vault against No. 9 Missouri. Johnson would match it twice at the NCAA Penn State Regional Second Round and Regional Finals.
