Travis Kelce has crossed the celebrity threshold while still at the peak of his powers in the NFL. And he could be involved in the sequel to one of the most iconic sports movies of all time.
‘Happy Gilmore 2’ has been confirmed by Adam Sandler, with Netflix to launch the film at some point. And it just might feature Kelce, with the aforementioned actor teasing a cameo for the Kansas City Chiefs star.
Sandler will reprise his role as the titular character but hasn’t revealed much about the upcoming sequel, though he has said that there’s a chance the likes of Tiger Woods and Drew Carey could make appearances.
It appears there’s an opportunity for Kelce, too, as he admitted he would do anything to land any role in the film earlier this year. If he had his way, the tight end would be Shooter McGavin’s caddie.
Adam Sandler Teases “A Nice Something” For Travis Kelce In Happy Gilmore 2
The Sandman caught wind of Travis Kelce’s big-screen aspiration and revealed that the three-time Super Bowl winner could play a part while speaking to Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday.
“Travis mentioned it, so we have a nice something for Travis,” he said. “He’s going to come by. He’s a very nice guy. You guys would love him in real life. What a big, handsome guy. Funny and cool as hell. He’s a stud and so funny.”
After this revelation from Sandler, we would be more surprised if Travis Kelce did not have a role in ‘Happy Gilmore 2’.
This development also seeped out on the same day it was rumored that the TE is set for a leading role in an action comedy being produced by John Wick director Chad Stahelski.
Hollywood might be seeing a whole lot of Kelce soon.
