Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders has had a rocky relationship with the media since his days as an NFL superstar over three decades ago.
It’s not surprising, given Deion Sanders’ obsession for attention. And “Prime Time” has once again fulfilled that desire, ahead of the Buffs’ season opener, by banning a popular Denver sports reporter from questioning him for the 2024 season.

In a statement from department officials shared by Matt Schubert of The Denver Post, the outlet announced that Sanders and the Buffaloes banned reporter Sean Keeler from asking Prime Time any questions during the 2004 season.
Keeler has been with The Denver Post since 2018. In a statement to the newspaper, the university cited “sustained, personal attacks” on Sanders and the team. Here’s the statement from the Buffaloes’ athletic department:

The newspaper asked the school to provide examples of Keeler’s “personal attacks” on Deion Sanders. Per Schubert, the school cited terms like “the Deion Kool-Aid”, “Circus”, “Planet Time” and “Deposition Deion.”
Schubert added that the school will still allow Keeler to attend games and practices and that he’s strictly being banned from questions. The school declined to comment when the Post asked if Keeler’s ban was a personal request by Prime Time.
The Buffaloes finished 4-8 in year one under Coach Prime last season, losing eight of their final nine games following a perfect 3-0 start. Their season begins on Thursday against the North Dakota State Bison.
Deion Sanders Needs To Walk The Walk
Sanders has always taken pride in badmouthing opponents and pundits who disagree with him. He always backed it up during his NFL playing days, but it’s time for him to focus on games themselves instead of the media.
The best way to silence the critics is to win. Sanders does a lot of talking for a coach who went 4-8 a year ago. If he doesn’t like what Keeler and the other “haters” have to say, Sanders should commit to coaching over to a personal crave for attention.
