It’s been a difficult week for Taylor Swift, after her beau Travis Kelce called in his lawyers when a fake ‘contract’ circulated suggesting their relationship was less than authentic.
But yesterday the singer, 34, coolly brushed off the rumours and let her look do the talking when she arrived at Arrowhead Stadium in one of her sexiest outfits to date, complete with a Versace corset and mini shorts.
The double denim moment was markedly different to the billionaire pop star’s usual ensembles when supporting KCC, which typically include cosy knitted sweaters, jeans, and her trademark bold red lip.
For fans of Taylor and Travis, the singer’s attendance served as a welcome distraction from the fake ‘contract’, which was written on the headed paper of Travis’s US PR company and outlined the couple’s apparent plans to split.
And when Taylor arrived to support Travis at the opening game of the season looking more glamorous than ever, Swifties finally received reassurance that all is well in the singer’s relationship.
Last night, Taylor cut a glamorous figure in a tight £1,000 Versace corset, denim hot pants, and thigh-high Giuseppe Zanotti boots worth £1250 with a £2,996 Louis Vuitton handbag.
She also added a special tribute to Travis, 34, by wearing the romantic TNT bracelet that he gave her.
The diamond and gold-plated bracelet – which spells out ‘TNT’ – is valued at around £4,500 and is thought to mean ‘Travis and Taylor’.
Taylor’s dazzling display is world’s away from the low-key outfits she typically wears when supporting her tight end beau.
While making her first appearance to one of Kelce’s games in September last year, the Karma hitmaker nearly broke the internet as fans speculated whether she and the nine-time Pro Bowler were an item.
For the occasion, she wore a Dôen button-up tank top, a Chiefs windbreaker, black denim Ksubi shorts, and New Balance 550 trainers.
To complete the look, the Swift sported her signature scarlet pout, crescent earrings from Jacquie Aiche, a pair of red and white trainers and £2,619 Louis Vuitton Camera Box Bag.
Although the pair initially played it coy on whether they were dating, she later confirmed that before her first game day they had already spend a ‘significant amount of time’ together.
‘I’m grateful because we got to get to know each other. By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date,’ she told Time Magazine in December.
The following month, while she was not decked out in Chiefs merch for her second game, the singer blended right in with wives and girlfriends of the sportsmen.
Swift, who invited her pals Hugh Jackman, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds to watch Kelce play, also rocked a black leather jacket and £1,362.56 Christian Louboutin boots.
For her next game, Swift wore her love for Kelce on her sleeve. Eagle-eyed fans quickly noticed she was wearing a friendship bracelet, featuring his jersey number on it, sandwiched between two hearts.
At the Chiefs vs. Los Angeles Chargers game, Kelce’s biggest cheerleader looked every inch the proud girlfriend in a vintage sweatshirt Chiefs sweatshirt, pleated black skirt, dainty jewellery, and her classic red lip.
She may have a net worth of over £1billion, but Swift opted to borrow a red Stella McCartney teddy coat from her friend and fellow WAG, Brittany Mahomes, while braving the cold in Green Bay, Wisconsin, at Lambeau Field in December.
Swift also rocked bright red nails and matching lipstick to show off her Kansas City spirit.
The Pennsylvania native, who was previously a lifelong Philadelphia Eagles fan, looked warm as she bundled up in a black turtleneck and Stuart Weitzman over-the-knee boots.
Later that same month, Swift was decked out in another vintage crewneck sweatshirt, a black leather miniskirt, boots and pieces from Toronto-based jewellery brand Mejuri.
Swift later made headlines for repping Kelce’s number on a custom knit beanie it featured the number 87 on it.
For the Christmas Day game, the Emmy winner wore a festive red and white Santa hat, with a giant ’87’ stitched to the front.
A number of other Chiefs WAGSs wore similar hats with their respective partners’ numbers on them.
Her brother, who also attended the game, wore a Santa Claus costume, complete with a red velvet coat, Chiefs scarf and beard.
Both Swift’s parents, Scott and Andrea, were also present to watch their daughter’s boyfriend attempt to defeat the Las Vegas Raiders. Sadly, the Chiefs lost.
Swift made a fashionable appearance Kelce’s final game of 2023 on New Year’s Eve.
Fans, unsurprisingly, went crazy for Taylor’s gameday fit, instantly spotting that she was wearing a duplicate of one of Kelce’s jackets. His nickname for her, Tay-Tay, was adorably stitched onto one of the sleeves.
Sarah Chapelle, who documents Swift’s fashion choices on the popular Instagram account TaylorSwiftStyled, provided details about the pop star’s look on social media.
‘Her Chiefs varsity jacket is by the legendary Jeff Hamilton who became best known in the ’90s for his sports licensing within the NBA and NFL,’ Chapelle informed other Swifties.
‘Last week, Travis wore a very similar jacket also by Jeff Hamilton that differs from Taylor’s by its leather collar, cuffs, and hem. In its own way, this feels like a more fashion-forward way to reference Travis’ style, continuing her recent 87-dubbed accessories she’s worn to recent games but in a more ‘his & hers’ sort of way.’
In January, all eyes were on Swift as she rocked a custom Travis Kelce puffer jacket, designed by Kristin Juszczyk, to the first round of the playoffs.
The unique puffer jackets took social media by storm and helped Juszczyk earn a licensing deal with the NFL.
‘It was just such a pinch-me moment,’ Juszczyk said of seeing Swift in her design. ‘[Taylor] single-handedly catapulted my career.’
She continued: ‘I’ve been at this for years. When I saw her walk out in that jacket, it just like, brought me to tears.’
The singer continued to keep her outfits simple and sophisticated, opting for chunky knitted sweatshirts and her trademark crimson lip.
However, Taylor’s run of casual outfits came to an end last night when she arrived in a dazzling double denim outfit.
It wasn’t just the singer’s outfit choice that turned heads, but also her choice of seating.
Fans noticed Taylor chose not to sit with her WAG bestie, 29-year-old Brittany Mahomes, after Trump’s gushing Truth Social post thanking the mother for ‘so strongly defending’ him.
Throughout the 2023/2024 season, Taylor was frequently spotted at games cheering on her American football star flame alongside Brittany, who is married to quarterback Patrick Mahomes, 28, usually in a matching outfit.
Yesterday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens told a different story, with the pair opting to watch the match apart from each other, after Brittany, who is currently pregnant with her third child, appeared to endorse Trump in the upcoming election.
The billionaire popstar – who shies away from controversy – yesterday distanced herself from Brittany, after her legion of fans begged her to snub the wife of the Chiefs quarterback because she appeared to endorse Trump in the upcoming US election.
As they took their seats on the NFL’s opening night, both appeared to be in different suites. It is a marked difference from last season when they were inseparable at games.
Swift took her usual spot in Kelce’s luxury suite alongside the tight end’s family and friends. She was captured sitting next to both of Kelce’s parents – Ed and Donna – in the first half.
Meanwhile, Mahomes watched the match with her daughter, Sterling Skye, in a different suite.
