The Miami Dolphins could be short a few superstar players after Tyreek Hill and Calais Campbell were spotted being arrested in Miami prior to the team’s week 1 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
First it was reported that Tyreek Hill had been arrested and placed in handcuffs by Miami police Sunday morning, as the star wide receiver made his way to Hard Rock Stadium for the team’s season opener. And now we’re getting reports that Campbell was also placed in handcuffs during the altercation.
A photo has since emerged of Campbell in handcuffs while sitting on the curb.

The Dolphins are set to kick off against the Jaguars at 1 pm ET today. We’ll see whether or not this pregame craziness causes a distraction for Mike McDaniel’s team.
Shortly after the photos and videos hit the internet, it was reported by the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport that Hill and Campbell were initially pulled over for a minor traffic violation. Things got testy and Hill was slammed to the ground by police at one point during the altercation. Campbell was one of several Dolphins teammates who stopped to help Hill after watching the scene unfold.
The two players have since been released and no charges have been laid. Both players are also expected to play in today’s game, according to agent Drew Rosenhaus.
