Travis Kelce cheered for his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, to bring home some awards at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end was chatting with his brother, Jason Kelce, in Wednesday’s episode of their “New Heights” podcast when the retired Philadelphia Eagles center began reading an ad for the awards show.
“Hopefully Taylor can walk away with a few!” Travis, 34, chimed in.
“She’s nominated for about 10 of those things tonight. Hopefully, she can walk away with some Moonmen. Those are some of the cooler trophies,” he added.
Swift, also 34, is actually nominated for 12 awards, including artist of the year.
Jason, 36, agreed with his brother that the Moon Person trophies are “really cool” before clapping and proclaiming, “Let’s go, Tay! Come on, Tay!”
“Stay on top! Here we go! Wishing everyone the best, though,” Travis added.
“Unless you’re up against Tay. Then I hope you lo-,” Jason teased before stopping himself from saying “lose.”
Swift, who already has 23 VMAs to her name, could make history Wednesday by breaking Beyoncé’s record of 27 wins.
It is unclear whether the “Cruel Summer” singer will attend this year’s VMAs at UBS Arena on Long Island, NY, but the ceremony has been one of her favorites over the years.
Swift attended the 2023 event and broke a record with nine wins in one night, including video of the year for “Anti-Hero.”
The “Blank Space” songstress also went to the 2022 show after a three-year hiatus and famously announced her album “Midnights” onstage to celebrate her first win 13 years prior.
If Swift does walk the star-studded red carpet Wednesday, she is unlikely to bring Kelce, whom she has been dating for a year.
The NFL star, who recently enjoyed a jam-packed weekend with his girlfriend in New York City, is in the midst of his football season and has a game Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Regardless of Swift or Kelce’s possible attendance, several stars are expected to perform at the 2024 VMAs.
