The NFL kicked off spectacularly in 2024, and one of the week one game saw the Miami Dolphins take on the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Dolphins came out on top, but everyone was talking about the big story ahead of the game: Tyreek Hill was arrested just hours before kickoff.
Hill was able to make the game ahead of the opening kickoff, and he had an absolute banger of a game. He went off for seven catches, hitting the 130-receiving-yard mark and reaching the endzone once in the victory.
Tyreek Hill mocked his arrest by celebrating with teammate Jaylen Waddle in the endzone. He put his hands behind his back, pretending to be arrested, which had many fans going crazy. Even Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce enjoyed it.
However, since the arrest, Hill has called for the officers involved to face some major disciplinary actions, but that doesn’t come without the star receiver admitting that he should have also handled the situation a little better.
Tyreek Hill Is Admitting He Did Some Bad Things During The Traffic Stop
“My life is all about accountability. So, right now, I have family members who are cops. We’ve had conversations. Yes, I will say I could’ve been better,” Hill admitted. He told the media, ” I could’ve let my window down at that instant, but the thing about me is I don’t want attention. I don’t wanna be like cameras out, phones on you at that moment.”
Tyreek Hill was remorseful, and reasonably so, adding, “But at the end of that day, I’m human. I gotta follow rules. Do what everyone else would do. Now, does that give them the right to literally beat the dog out of me? Absolutely not. But at the end of the day, I wish I could go back and do things differently.”
He was stopped for going 60 in a 40 MPH zone, something that obviously shouldn’t have been handled the way it was by both parties. However, life moves on, and Hill will remain in the lineup for the Dolphins’ week two game against the Buffalo Bills.
