NFC West Team Trades For Bryce Young Following His Benching By The Carolina Panthers In Wild Trade Idea Proposed By ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky

Former NFL quarterback Dan Orlovsky believes Bryce Young’s career with the Carolina Panthers is over following the team’s decision to bench him.

The second-year player has been replaced by Andy Dalton, who will start against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday in the wake of a disastrous start to the season. And Orlovsky doesn’t see him getting a second chance in Carolina.

The ESPN analyst made an appearance on ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ this week and predicted that the quarterback won’t play for the Panthers again, suggesting a trade is the only way forward.

“I think Bryce Young is done in Carolina, and I would encourage them just to trade him,” he said. “You’re not going back.”

Orlovsky pointed to the speculation involving the Miami Dolphins, who have been linked with a move following Tua Tagovailoa’s injury. But he also urged the Los Angeles Rams to make a play for the QB.

“If I were the Los Angeles Rams, I would probably make a call,” he said.

Los Angeles Would Likely Be A Better Fit For Bryce Young

Young would experience less pressure in L.A. than he would in Miami, as he wouldn’t be expected to get the Rams to the playoffs and would be treated as Matthew Stafford’s eventual successor.

“Matthew’s older. Their team has been absolutely destroyed by injuries,” Orlovsky added. “Their perspective on their season is kind of very different right now.”

The 0-2 Rams have indeed been decimated by injuries early in the season. Star wide receivers Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp are both out, while offensive linemen Steve Avila, Jonah Jackson, and Joseph Noteboom have also been sidelined.

Defensive backs Darious Williams and John Johnson are dealing with injuries as well.
