REPORT: 4 Surprise NFL Teams Are Trying To Make A Blockbuster Trade For Star Wide Receiver

Four teams are reportedly looking to complete a blockbuster NFL trade for a wide receiver with the deadline inching closer.

The 2024 NFL trade deadline falls on Nov. 5 this year, but you can never underestimate the desperation of some teams. With injuries mounting to Super Bowl hopefuls like the Miami Dolphins and San Francisco 49ers, and with rebuilding teams like the Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos poised to sell, there’s a strong possibility of several blockbuster trades happening before the deadline.

According to a report from ESPN’s Dan Graziano, four teams would “love to add a talented” wide receiver before the trade deadline. Those teams are the Dallas Cowboys, defending Super Bowl Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Rams, and Washington Commanders.

In Kansas City’s case, free agent signing Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown will likely miss the regular season with a shoulder injury. The Rams will be without star wideouts Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp for multiple weeks with injuries, perhaps adding to the urgency for GM Les Snead to make a big move before the NFL trade deadline.

The Dallas Cowboys haven’t had a true No. 2 wideout to complement CeeDee Lamb since trading Amari Cooper to the Cleveland Browns two years ago. And through Washington’s first two games, running back Austin Ekeler is the leading receiver with 99 yards.

Big-Named WRs To Monitor Ahead Of NFL Trade Deadline

If the Las Vegas Raiders are out of playoff contention leading up to the deadline, don’t be surprised if they move out superstar Davante Adams once and for all.

Pending free agents in Tee Higgins (Cincinnati Bengals), DeAndre Hopkins (Tennessee Titans) and Amari Cooper (Cleveland Browns) could also be available for the right price. Speaking of the Titans, don’t be surprised if 2022 first-round pick Treylon Buks hits the trade block.

With the Panthers and Broncos likely to sell, don’t be surprised if wideouts Diontae Johnson, Adam Thielen and Courtland Sutton are also shopped.
