Taylor Swift to be thanked by Travis Kelce and the NFL is already rubbing its hands with her decision
Taylor Swift‘s ‘Eras Tour’ will conclude in December, but the break between her European leg ending in August and her final performances leaves a window for her to support her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. According to reports, that’s exactly what Swift plans to do. Last season, she became a familiar face at Kansas City Chiefs games, with the NFL often spotlighting her presence in the luxury boxes as she cheered on Kelce.
“Football is definitely still his priority but so is his relationship,” an insider told PEOPLE.
“He makes romantic gestures to show he’s thinking of her when they’re apart. She’s going to try to attend as many games as possible.”
The couple first made headlines together at a Chiefs home game against the Chicago Bears, where Kelce scored a touchdown, and cameras quickly cut to Swift celebrating exuberantly. Swift attended 13 Chiefs games last season, and the team won 10 of those 13 matches.
During her recent shows in London, Kelce made a surprise appearance on stage. He joined backup dancers Kameron Saunders and Jan Ravnik for a fun skit, reviving Swift during the transition between her performances of ‘The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived’ and ‘I Can Do It With A Broken Heart.’
Swift didn’t miss a single Chiefs playoff game, attending all four victories in different cities. Her support extended to Buffalo, where she met Travis’s brother Jason Kelce and his wife Kylie for the first time. Jason famously leapt shirtless out of a luxury box in celebration.
She even made a special trip back from her Tokyo ‘Eras Tour’ dates to attend this year’s Super Bowl in Las Vegas. Meanwhile, the NFL is already rubbing its hands, as its popularity has been boosted since Swift attended her first Chiefs game.
