VIDEO: Alabama High School Quarterback Was Kicked Off Team After Throwing Haymaker At His Teammate’s Father During Wild Brawl Involving Parents In The Stands

Being on a football team is one of the most emotional things someone can do. Being a quarterback is arguably more emotional, as quarterbacks account for the brunt of the team’s success and, if necessary, lack thereof.

Now, the NFL and the high school game are different animals in terms of media attention. However, there are some cases where a player’s high school activities can achieve national media attention, and Daylon Edmunds did just that.

Edmunds, a signal caller at a high school in Alabama, was cut from the Cintronelle Wildcats football program after he was involved in a brawl where he ended up throwing a punch at a teammate’s father during a brawl at a game.

In a clip posted to X by user Simone Eli, Edmunds can be seen throwing a punch at the dad before being held back by everyone around him.

High School Quarterback Daylon Edmunds Makes Headlines Following Being Kicked Off His Team

The news came to Eli from Edmunds’ dad, as the post was captioned, “Citronelle QB Daylon Edmunds has been removed from the Wildcats football program following a postgame fight last Friday, his dad Chris Edmunds tells me.”

According to the reporter, multiple people involved in the brawl have been criminally charged. “Chris Edmunds and Stephen Byrd, also a Wildcat FB parent, have been charged with disorderly conduct,” said Eli.

While Daylon Edmunds is now kicked off his high school football team, it’s interesting to see if he ends up going somewhere else to quarterback for another high school program. It’s unclear whether or not the high schooler himself received any legal repercussions.
