Tom Brady has bemoaned the number of blowouts he has experienced in his first few weeks as an NFL analyst.
The record-breaking quarterback moved into the broadcasting booth this season as he began a 10-year, $375million deal with Fox Sports.
Brady’s opening three games as a color commentator involved the Dallas Cowboys – he was behind the mic for their 33-17 win at the Browns, their 44-19 home defeat by the Saints and their 28-25 loss to the Ravens, when the Cowboys trimmed a 22-point deficit in the fourth quarter.
The 47-year-old then called the Buccaneers’ 33-16 win against the Philadelphia Eagles before watching the Cardinals upset the 49ers 24-23 at Levi’s Stadium.
In recent weeks, he analyzed the Cowboys’ one-sided defeat against the Lions (47-9) and the Chiefs’ win at the 49ers (28-18).
‘I’ve done seven games now. I’ve had six blowouts, essentially, and the home team has only won one game,’ Brady said on the Let’s Go! podcast this week.
‘I can’t wait until I get a home team (playing) in a close game and there’s a lot of juice in the stadium.’
Brady will be in the broadcasting booth for the Seattle Seahawks’ clash against the Buffalo Bills in Week 8.
Despite sitting through many one-sided games so far this season, the 47-year-old insisted: ‘It’s been really fun to sit and watch these games from the 50-yard line.
‘Although I’d much prefer to be on the field playing, because it’s a lot more fun down there… just watching from above and seeing how these guys are performing is pretty cool.’
