Terrence Shannon Jr., a former standout player from Illinois, was selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves as the 27th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft in June 2024. Shannon’s exceptional skills led to him being named the Illinois Male Athlete of the Year in 2024. However, it’s not just Shannon’s outstanding talent that’s exciting fans. The 23-year-old shooting guard surprised everyone with his new tattoo. His most recent tattoo on his hand is inspired by the popular video game Grand Theft Auto and alludes to the cheat code that provides unlimited gun ammo in the game. Shannon’s tattoo clearly suggests his ability to dominate on the court.

NBA fans were amazed by Shannon’s tattoo and expressed various reactions in the comment section of the Minnesota Timberwolves post about the former Illinois standout player on X (formerly known as Twitter).

One fan joked about Shannon’s tattoo and said, “NOT COOL. HE COPIED IT FROM INDIANA LEGEND DEVONTE GREEN.”

Meanwhile, another fan wrote a profitable piece of advice for Shannon, mentioning, “This man needs a sponsorship deal from @RockstarGames for this.”

Another fan reacted, “Nah bro it’s hard but wtf is that shit above it le freak aayoooo.”

Another fan commented, ““Le Freäk” tatted on the beating arm.. he’s a pro’s pro.”

Shannon Impresses in NBA Summer League Debut

In his first NBA summer league game for the Minnesota Timberwolves against the New Orleans Pelicans, Shannon wasted no time in showing off his skills and amazed everyone with a dominating performance. He scored 25 points, grabbed three rebounds, made two blocks, and secured one steal. His field goal percentage was an impressive 64% after playing for 27 minutes, ultimately contributing to the Timberwolves’ 81-74 victory.

Despite the hype surrounding his tattoo and his impressive performance in the first game, Shannon also faced criticism due to rape allegations in September 2023. However, a star player of the Los Angeles Lakers stood in support of Shannon after he was found not guilty of the charges of rape and sexual battery.
