Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson re-listed $18M marital home 2 days before announcing split

Jessica Simpson and her estranged husband, Eric Johnson, put their multimillion dollar mansion in Hidden Hills, Calif., back on the market just two days before announcing their split.

The carefully-curated seven-bedroom, 13-bathroom, 13,274-square foot property was listed on Jan. 11 for $17.9 million, which is an 18.6 percent decrease from its first sale price, per online real estate records.

The lavish estate, which boasts city lights and mountain views, was first put on the market on Sept. 19, 2023 — around the same time Simpson moved to Nashville — but it was then removed by Aug. 2, 2024.

The Jessica Simpson Collection CEO previously said she decided to reside in Music City temporarily that summer to be with “like-minded people.”

“It’s not about the celebrities — it’s really about the music and the heart and the conversation,” she added to E! News at the time, sharing she was “so happy” with the move.

However, Simpson and her and Johnson’s three children — Maxwell, 12, Ace, 11, and Birdie, 5 — were back on the West Coast in time for the start of the new school year.

The “I Wanna Love You Forever” songstress confessed to People Monday that she and her estranged husband had been “living separately” for some time while they navigated their “painful” separation.

“Our children come first, and we are focusing on what is best for them,” she added. “We are grateful for all of the love and support that has been coming our way, and appreciate privacy right now as we work through this as a family.”

An insider further told Page Six Tuesday that Simpson and Johnson had been dealing with “trust issues.”

“They were no longer on the same page, and it drove a wedge between them,” the source added.

Simpson reportedly had one of her friends reach out to Los Angeles-based divorce lawyers in late October 2024 because she was “unhappy” in her marriage.

It’s unclear whether the estranged couple re-listed their marital home in an effort to settle finances before they finalize their divorce.

Reps for Simpson did not immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.

The home’s real estate listing gushes that the spacious estate features a formal dining room that “sets the stage for unforgettable dinner parties.”

“The heart of this home lies in its state-of-the-art chef’s kitchen, where culinary dreams come to life.”

Photos from the listing also show a bathroom decorated with leopard-print wall paper and adorned with framed pictures of several music icons, including Willie Nelson, Janis Joplin and Dolly Parton.

There is also a colorful music studio and at-home gym, which Simpson presumably used often to reach her 100-pound weight loss goal.

“This home offers an unrivaled opportunity to experience the epitome of upscale living in one of the most exclusive communities,” the listing concludes.

“Don’t miss your chance to own this remarkable property and create a lifetime of cherished memories.”

Simpson, 44, and Johnson, 45, bought the luxe property in March 2013, a year before they tied the knot.
