Sports commentator Erin Andrews has revealed why she went ‘psycho’ with Kylie Kelce while attending Taylor Swift‘s Eras Tour this summer – and shared more about her love for the pop star.
Andrews, a Fox Sports NFL sideline reporter, made the admission during an appearance on Kelce’s Not Gonna Lie With Kylie Kelce podcast, which was released on Thursday.
During the episode, the two reminisced about the July 2024 Eras Tour they attended in London this summer, where they met for the first time.
The conversation began as Kelce claimed that Andrews was ‘mortified’ by her Calm Down podcast co-host Charissa Thompson’s dance moves.
‘This is where I stand on the situation, listen, I wanted to get to that tour so badly,’ Andrews told the wife of former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce.
‘I have a dance background, not a great one, but yes, I like to dance. I appreciate the performing arts, I appreciate a show. I was so f***ing pumped to see the dancers, the lights, the costumes, that’s what I grew up loving, Broadway shows, all of it,’ the sportscaster continued.
She explained that she loves her friend Charissa Thompson ‘a lot,’ but she was on a different wavelength while they saw this summer’s show.
Andrews wanted to listen and ‘take in’ the show, while it seemed like her co-host just wanted to dance.
Kelce laughed, remembering at one point during the show Andrews said that she was ‘focused.’
‘I felt like you were studying and taking notes in a way of like, I need to make sure that I can properly digest this entire situation and there was not a moment where I felt like you were not locked in…’ Kelce said during the episode.
‘I can’t even imagine what it’s like being your brother-in-law, because I feel like when everyone goes in there, they want to talk to him, and he’s like, “Hey, I’m watching my girl,”‘ Andrews said of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, who is dating Swift.
‘It was like, “Kylie, I’m even psycho to the part where when the new songs were added,” I remember looking at you and asking specific questions,’ Andrews explained, revealing that Kylie would tell her the parts of the concert when Swift was about to ‘go off.’
However, it looks like Andrews’ curiosity during the concert didn’t seem to bother Kelce, as she said it was ‘an amazing time.’
And, interestingly enough, it is Andrews and her podcast co-host who claim responsibility for matchmaking Swift and Kelce.
The two memorably got on their podcast and encouraged Swift to go on a date with their friend before the relationship took the world by storm in 2023.
During the episode, Thompson asked Swift to ‘please try our friend Travis,’ according to People.
‘He is fantastic,’ she added at the time.
Andrews even joked during the episode that Swift should ‘do it for America.’
‘This is one Taylor, I know we’re not the best of friends, we’re not even friends, but I consider you one,’ she said.
‘Take us up on this. Go on a date with this guy. Do it for America.’
