Brutal moment Detroit Lions QB Jared Goff crushed after throwing a pick six vs Commanders

Lions quarterback Jared Goff was rocked by a Commanders defender on Saturday night after throwing a pivotal pick-six in the first half.

Goff was picked off by Quan Martin before the defensive back returned the interception 40 yards for a touchdown, and the quarterback was crushed in the upper chest by Washington’s Frankie Luvu as he tried to chase down the play.

The hit sent Goff flying backwards onto the ground, and sidelined him on the next drive as backup Teddy Bridgewater was forced to take over with Detroit trailing 24-14.

Goff was then seen being treated in a medical tent on the sideline before walking ton the locker room.

The Lions cut into Washington’s lead in Goff’s absence as Jameson Williams took took an end-around for a 61-yard score.

Jayden Daniels then responded with a five-yard touchdown to Zach Ertz to make the score 31-21.

Goff was sent flying back by the hit as Quan Martin ran into the end zone

Goff then emerged on the last drive of the half and appeared to be healthy.

However, with the Lions driving and on Washington’s 29-yard-line with 35 seconds left, Goff threw his second interception of the game.

The quarterback was targeting Williams in the end zone but the ball was undercut by Mike Sainristil, who returned the ball to Washington’s 14-yard-line before being tackled.

The Commanders then kneeled out the clock.

It was a difficult first half for Goff as he committed three total turnovers, with the first being a fumble in the first quarter.

However, he did manage to complete 11 of 17 attempts and found Sam LaPorta for a touchdown in the second quarter.
