Eagles receiver AJ Brown was spotted carrying his self-help book as he arrived for Sunday’s playoff clash with the Rams.
The Philadelphia star was seen reading ‘Inner Excellence’ during last week’s Wild Card win over the Green Bay Packers – and he invited author Jim Murphy to take in this week’s Divisional Round.
The viral clip sent Murphy’s book to the top of the Amazon best-seller list and, a week on, Brown made sure to bring the book back to Lincoln Financial Field.
The receiver was seen carrying his copy of ‘Inner Excellence’ under his arm as he made his way into the stadium ahead of kickoff.
Philadelphia can move to within one win of the Super Bowl with victory over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, with the Washington Commanders awaiting the winner in next week’s NFC Championship game.
Brown left fans baffled when he was seen reading midway through the game last week. The receiver struggled against Green Bay, managing only one catch for 10 yards.
But he revealed that he brings the book to every game. The wide receiver even showed off his copy, which features passages highlighted and underlined.
‘It gives me a sense of peace,’ Brown said. ‘That’s a book I bring every single game.’
The book gained huge exposure after the Eagles cruised to a 22-10 win over Green Bay – it went viral online and Philadelphia news anchors were even seen reading it live on air.
‘I was just amazed at what God does and is doing,’ the author, a former college football player and minor league baseball player, told DailyMail.com earlier this week.
‘The message that AJ is sharing with the world is the pursuit of inner excellent. It’s the pursuit of a fearless life.’
