Jason Kelce completed a mad 1,000-mile dash from Philadelphia to Kansas City on Sunday to watch brother Travis line up in yet another AFC Championship game.
Travis and the Kansas City Chiefs are battling it out with the Buffalo Bills for a place in this year’s Super Bowl, where the Philadelphia Eagles await after their win over the Washington Commanders earlier in the day.
Before that game in Philadelphia, Eagles legend Jason was seen tailgating with the team’s fans outside Lincoln Financial Field as thousands gathered in the parking lots ahead of kickoff.
Kelce led renditions of ‘Fly, Eagles Fly’ as he chugged drinks with the Philly faithful, while he even lost to a young fan in a bench press competition.
Yet just hours later, the 37-year-old was seen at Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium for his younger brother’s game against the Buffalo Bills.
Arrowhead is an incredible 1,123 miles west of Lincoln Financial Field, with a flight from Philly to KC taking an estimated three hours and 15 minutes.
Footage of Kelce at the Chiefs-Bills game first surfaced online during the second half, meaning it is unclear when exactly he arrived from Pennsylvania.
He could be seen wearing his brother’s No. 87 jersey and drinking a beer as he watched on from a private suite at Arrowhead.
Travis and the Chiefs are bidding to reach a third straight Super Bowl, though Jason’s loyalties will be conflicted if they make it.
His little brother will take on the Eagles – the franchise he spent the entirety of his own NFL career with – in the NFL showpiece should he get past the Bills, which will make things awkward for the Kelce family once again.
Jason and Travis became the first brothers ever to face off in the Super Bowl when Philadelphia last made it there in 2021, leading fans to rename it the ‘Kelce Bowl’.
Yet after bringing the curtain down on his career last year, Jason will watch on from afar as the Eagles look to make up for their defeat three years ago and lift the Vince Lombardi trophy.
He got himself in and amongst it before Sunday’s dominant win over the Commanders, even taking on a young fan in a bench press competition.
The boy ‘completed’ 12 reps – with the help of those around him. ‘Show off those guns!’ Kelce screamed, before telling him: ‘I’m going to kick your butt now’
But the NFL legend could only manage 11 reps before giving up. ‘Alright you got me,’ he told the young fan. ‘Give me a flex… these kids are built different here in Philadelphia, baby!’
He also attempted to interview fans ahead of the game but his presence sparked chants from the crowd in Philadelphia.
‘E-A-G-L-E-S,’ they shouted, while visiting Commanders fans were taunted by the home crowd.
Kelce even needled one brave Washington supporter, who was then showered with chants of ‘a**hole’. One Eagles fan, who took pity on the visitor, could be heard saying ‘Oh, be nice!’
