Kendrick Lamar is apparently intent on keeping his beef with Drake going when he performs at the Super Bowl Halftime show next month.
The stage is set for the biggest game of the year, with the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs to feature in a rematch of Super Bowl 57. And Kendrick will be the one providing the entertainment at the break, having emerged as a surprising selection.
The rapper’s hit diss track “Not Like Us” did some crazy numbers as it flew to the top of the charts. It upset Drake enough to sue his record label, UMG, for illegally promoting the song.
Of course, the NFL wants nothing to do with the rappers’ beef, but according to The U.S. Sun, Kendrick is insistent on including the song in his set despite the threat of a lawsuit.
The outlet reports that the 37-year-old has been advised not to perform “Not Like Us” at the big game, given the potential legal ramifications, but he is adamant about performing it.
