Travis and Jason Kelce unveil two special celebrity guests as they prepare to end New Heights hiatus

The Kelce Brothers are set to return to the podcasting space with the release of another episode of New Heights. This time, they’ll be joined by another pair of sporting siblings.

Following the Kansas City Chiefs’ defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX, the brothers released an episode and then announced they’d be taking something of a short break.

They did reveal that they would return for the offseason with ‘news and new guests soon,’ but did not say who those guests were.

Well, on Tuesday, it was revealed that a pair of hockey stars would be making their debuts on the show.

In a clip posted to the podcast’s social media accounts, Jason Kelce revealed that Ottawa Senators captain Brady Tkachuk and his older brother, Florida Panthers alternate captain Matthew Tkachuk, would make an appearance on their show.

The Tkachuk’s are making their debut on the show after their show-stopping performances in the 4 Nations Faceoff for Team USA which ended in a defeat at the hands of hated rivals Canada.

In the clip, Jason and Travis were fired up immediately – bringing high energy to the podcast, which the two Tkachuk brothers loved.

The clip also touched a bit on the brothers’ fights during the first Canada-USA game at the 4 Nations – where Matthew dropped the mitts right off the faceoff and Brady followed him less than two seconds later.

Brady told the Kelce’s, ‘I was way more nervous for Matthew fighting [Canada’s Brandon Hagel] and then when I saw him start to throw, I was like “oh here we go”.’

They also reflected on a dap up they did when Brady skated over to the penalty box after his bout, with the younger brother saying, ‘I’ll remember that forever.’

The 4 Nations Faceoff was a special event for hockey fans that replaced the annual NHL All-Star Game with the first true best-on-best international hockey action in nearly nine years.

In the end, Canada beat the United States at TD Garden in overtime in what came as a bit of a blow to President Donald Trump – who has been engaged in a war of words with his northerly neighbor.Trump has repeatedly threatened to annex Canada as the ’51st state’ and impose tariffs on the nation.

In the run-up to the final of the tournament, Trump spoke to the team over the phone to encourage them – something Matthew Tkachuk publicly praised.

But Matthew barely played in the final – logging just six minutes of ice time.

In the aftermath of the loss, it was revealed that he was dealing with a lower body injury that could see him miss significant time with the Panthers.

Florida head coach Paul Maurice has remained adamant that despite the injury, Tkachuk will play for the team again at some point this year.

Matthew is the second-leading scorer on the Panthers with 22 goals and 57 points as Florida sits second in the Atlantic Division.

Meanwhile, Brady is the third-leading scorer on a Senators team clinging onto the final Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference. He has 44 points and a team-high 21 goals on the season.

As for the Kelce’s, following the Super Bowl, Travis was highly critical of his performance in the 40-22 loss and addressed his possible retirement after 13 seasons.

‘I’m gonna take some time to figure it out, and I think I owe it to my teammates that if I do come back, that it’s gonna be something that it’s a wholehearted decision. I’m not half-a***** it,’ he said.

‘I think I could play; it’s just whether or not I’m motivated or it’s the best decision for me as a man, as a human, as a person, to take on all that responsibility.’
