The National Press Club remained unimpressed with White House viral reporter Natalie Winters.
The 23-year-old correspondent for Steve Bannon’s War Room: Battleground has been denied membership to the National Press Club.
The National Club is an esteemed social club for journalists in Washington, D.C.
The rejection follows a review process by the club’s membership committee, which determined that she did not meet the qualifications for membership at this time. In response to this decision, Winters publicly criticized the club.
She lashed out at the club and called it out for discrimination against her.
Winters took to her social media and shared a screenshot of the rejection email. She expressed dissatisfaction, given her prominence as a host of a leading conservative show.
The White House correspondent also cited instances where her work got appreciation from elected officials, including President Trump.
In a statement to the press, a spokesperson for the National Press Club noted that membership decisions are made according to established journalistic standards and that they do not comment on individual applications out of respect for applicants.
Natalie Winters Was In The News From Day One

The young journalist found herself at the center of controversy following her first day as a White House correspondent. The young reporter shared a series of photos in her viral outfit, which consisted of a black top, white collared shirt, and white skirt. Her look was also complemented by white socks and sneakers.
However, the choice of attire quickly sparked backlash on social media, with many critics deeming it too casual and unprofessional for such a prestigious role. Commenters expressed their discontent, suggesting that Natalie Winters should adhere to a more formal dress code.
In response to the wave of criticism, Ms. Winters defended her fashion choice vigorously. In a lengthy post on X, she expressed disbelief that her wardrobe was generating such substantial discussion.
She also pointed out the absurdity of being criticized for her looks and attire, claiming that such commentary was a reflection of the biases within the industry. Supporters rallied behind her and declared the criticisms as mere jealousy.
