Travis Kelce Lovingly Says He’ll ‘Never Forget’ Performing with Taylor Swift at London Eras Tour

Travis Kelce is reflecting on his Eras Tour performance with girlfriend Taylor Swift last year in London.

On the Wednesday, May 14 episode of Kelce’s New Heights podcast with his brother Jason Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end called the experience “unforgettable.”

“I’ll never forget being on a stage in front of what felt like a million people,” Kelce, 35, said about joining Swift, also 35, on stage at Wembley Stadium.

Kelce’s reminiscent remark came after his brother Jason, 37, asked “what brought” him to London in the past. “Was it love?” Jason joked with his brother.

The Kansas City Chiefs star had shocked Swifties when he made a surprise appearance on stage during Swift’s third show at London’s Wembley Stadium on Sunday, June 23, as part of the Eras Tour.

Kelce donned a tuxedo and top hat and joined Swift for her “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” outfit change — a transition the “Bad Blood” singer first introduced when she began incorporating The Tortured Poets Department album into the tour.

During the performance, Kelce stepped in for a dancer who usually picks Swift up during the transition and carries her to a red velvet couch at center stage. Kelce was grinning ear-to-ear when he was revealed as the surprise guest and the Wembley Stadium crowd erupted in cheers.

Kelce later revealed it was his idea to join Swift on stage, explaining on the New Heights podcast last year that he first mentioned it offhandedly to his girlfriend, who initially laughed at the idea before asking her NFL boyfriend, “’Would you seriously be up for doing something like that?’ ”

“I was just like, ‘What? I would love to do that, are you kidding me? I’ve seen the show enough — might as well put me to work here,’ ” Kelce said. “And sure enough, she found the perfect part of the show for me to come in.”

On the same episode last July, Kelce called it an “honor” to join Swift on stage for the Eras Tour.

“It was an absolute blast,” Kelce said. “It was such a fun, playful part of the show and it was like … the perfect time for me to go up there, just be a ham and have some fun — not only with [Swift]… but the crowd and really try and get everybody excited for the rest of the show. It was awesome.”

And, Kelce added, “I didn’t disappoint Taylor, so that’s all that really matters.”
