Taylor Swift Projected to End Ye’s Billboard Streak as ‘Vultures 2’ Expected to Land at No. 2

It looks like Ye’s long-running Billboard album streak is soon to be over in a manner that practically confirms the existence of cosmic irony.

Chart Data reports that Taylor Swift is projected to end Ye’s streak of No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200. Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, is currently credited with 11 consecutive albums at the No. 1 spot.

Swift’s TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT sold 141,000 units this week, compared to Ye and Ty Dolla Sign’s Vultures 2 that’s set to debut with 83,000 units.

It seems like the universe has a sense of humor to have Swift be the one to end Ye’s Billboard reign since he was the one that ruined her night of fun way back at the 2009 MTV Awards.

After interrupting her speech for accepting Best Female Video to say that Beyoncé had the best video of all time, the two have had an on-and-off relationship since. This includes Swift reconciling and giving Ye the Video Vanguard Award at the 2015 VMAs as well as the controversy involving Ye using Swift’s name in the song “Famous” and the subsequent argument about whether she approved it.

If you haven’t heard Vultures 2, you might want to check it out soon because there’s a chance it might not be available to listen to in the near future.

Ye recently posted on his Instagram Story about an issue that’s allegedly happening with Atlantic, meaning that the album might go away unless he forks over some money.

In a screenshot of a text conversation that he’s presumably the recipient of, he learns from his manager, John Monopoly, that Atlanta Music Group chairman Julie Greenwald got fired and that her replacement is opting not to give Ye and his team “a grace period” for the compensation related to Vultures 1 and 2.

“She’s saying that if we don’t handle it immediately Atlantic will issue takedowns for both albums,” the text in the screenshot reads. Ye captioned the post with, “This is what ‘they’ do to independent artists.”

Soon after making the post, Ye deleted his account.
