Morgan Wallen Nailed Jose Bautista’s Wife With a Baseball Bat While Trying To Imitate The Blue Jays Legend’s Famous Bat-Flip [VIDEO] | NFL Sports

Concert openers don’t usually draw laughs before the first song, but Morgan Wallen managed to pull it off in Toronto. The country star started Night 2 of his I’m the Problem Tour at Rogers Centre by bringing out Jose Bautista, the Blue Jays legend behind baseball’s most famous bat flip.

The crowd went wild seeing Bautista back in the building. He walked out in a baby blue Jays jersey with a bat in hand, while Wallen played along with a swing and a flip just like Bautista did in the 2015 playoffs. The flip looked good. The crowd cheered. Then came the surprise…

Wallen’s toss hit Bautista’s wife, Neisha, who was filming nearby.

Neisha laughed it off right away. On Instagram, she posted the video with the caption, “When Morgan Wallen bat flips your husband’s bat and hits you,” along with a laughing emoji. The moment got everyone talking, but the concert didn’t miss a beat.

Everyone Enjoyed Jose Bautista’s Comeback

Fans at Rogers Centre treated Bautista’s return like a homecoming. The Blue Jays’ official X account said“The King is back in his castle.” Wallen added to the night’s baseball theme later by coming back on stage in a Roy Halladay jersey, which earned him a shoutout from pitcher Kevin Gausman

Bautista’s cameo came at a time when the Jays are fighting for another big run by beating the Yankees 7-1, recalling memories of that 2015 team. The excitement in Toronto right now has the same energy that came after the team’s record-setting run earlier this season.

Off the field, Jose Bautista has been busy too. He used his Toronto trip to launch his Dominican coffee brand, Bella Aldea, during the film festival. Still, he made it clear he hasn’t stopped following the Jays. “I consider myself a fan now,” he told Postmedia“I’m watching on TV every night. The guys are doing great.”

The night mixed baseball, music, and comedy in a way only Toronto could. Fans laughed off Wallen’s bat mishap and took it as part of the script. This is the same crowd that once set a ballpark record for eating hot dogs in a single night, so a flying bat was just another memory to take home.

For Wallen, the tour heads to Edmonton next.
